FMCG Stocks Outlook For The Week: 26.02.2018 to 01.03.2018
Stocks of most fast moving consumer goods companies are seen rising next week on expectation that sales volume by companies may rise because of the government's push to rural spending. In the Budget for 2018-19 (Apr-Mar), the government increased its outlay for the rural sector. The Budget also announced fixing minimum support price for crops at least 1.5 times of the production cost. Rural demand looks strong and is likely to drive volume growth in the sector in high single digit in the coming months. In the broader market, benchmark indices are expected to move in a narrow range as concern over inflation, at home and globally, and cost of investing in risky assets weigh on investors.
