Stocks of pharmaceutical companies are expected to move in a narrow range next week due to lack
of major triggers. The movement in the rupee will also provide cues to these stocks as drug makers
earn a major chunk of revenues in dollars. While stocks of pharmaceutical companies are attractive
in terms of valuations, focus is moving back to unpredictability of regulatory decisions, which could
keep investors averse to buying these stocks. The US Food and Drug Administration issued a Form-483 to two of Lupin's units in Mandideep, in Madhya Pradesh earlier this month, while Jubilant Life's Roorkee unit is in danger of getting an import ban.
