* AUTO: Central Board of Excise & Customs has served a show-cause notice to Honda Motor Co, demanding that it pay 1.64 bln rupees more as excise duty on discounted models such as Brio and Jazz.
* AVIATION: Aviation ministry has permitted scheduled airlines to unbundle certain services from gross ticket fare, and to separately charge for those services as per needs of passengers.
* FINANCIAL SERVICES: National Housing Bank's total disbursal in 2012-13 (Jul-Jun) is likely to grow 22% to around 175 bln rupees.
* INFRASTRUCTURE: Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia has suggested introducing some penalty for delays in statutory clearances to infrastructure projects executed in the public-private partnership mode.
* POWER: The government has said there is no scope for granting new coal linkages for power projects under the Twelfth Five-Year Plan as letters of assurance for fuel supply for projects aimed at generating 80,000 MW already exist.
- Parliamentary standing committee on coal's report has stated that the inter-ministerial group, whose recommendations formed the basis of coal-to-liquid block allocation, "did not perform its duty honestly"; some members of the group were opposed to the way the blocks were allocated.

- The government may extend the tenure of the joint parliamentary committee investigating the 2G spectrum allocation scam. The panel's term ends May 10.
