* STERLITE INDUSTRIES: Has imposed force majeure on sales of copper cathode and purchase of concentrate at its Tuticorin copper smelter, following the shutdown of the unit on Monday.

* TATA MOTORS: Along with its Colombo-based partner Diesel & Motor Engineering, has launched the Tata Prima range of commercial vehicles in Sri Lanka .

* TATA STEEL: Has awarded an order worth 1.9 bln rupees to FLSmidth to supply two pipe conveyors to transport 6 mln tn iron ore per annum.

* UNITED BREWERIES: Promoter McDowell Holdings pledged 6.3 mln shares of the company on Saturday.

* UNITED SPIRITS: Promoter UNITED BREWERIES HOLDINGS' stake in the company has declined to 15.73% from 17.75% after lenders invoked pledge on 2.65 mln shares of the company. Diageo Plc's $2-bln deal to buy majority stake in the company may take three months longer to complete.
