* ADANI PORTS AND SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE: Jan-Mar net profit tripled on year to 7.1 bln rupees on account of gain on sale of stake in Abbot Point terminal. Net sales increased 42% to 9.65 bln rupees.

* BOSCH: Has started a new electrical drives unit in Chennai aiming to expand the company's product portfolio for the Indian market.

* CENTRUM CAPITAL: Has approved 10-for-1 stock split and a 5-for-1 bonus issue of shares.

* CIPLA: Shareholders of Cipla Medpro South Africa have approved Cipla's proposal to acquire 100% stake in the former at 10 rand per share.

* CREDIT ANALYSIS AND RESEARCH: Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer D.R. Dogra said the rating agency is considering inorganic opportunities to grow its research and ratings business.

* GLOBAL OFFSHORE: A vessel of the company's subsidiary gets 490-mln-rupee contract.

* IRB INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPERS: Has approved raising up to 5 bln rupees in one or more tranches.

* JAMMU & KASHMIR BANK: Reported a net profit of 2.5 bln rupees in Jan-Mar, against 2.1 bln rupees in the same period last year.

* KARNATAKA BANK: Plans to raise 5 bln rupees through a qualified institutional placement.

* LINDE INDIA: The BOC Group has now informed the exchange that the floor price for share sale will be 230 rupees per share.

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA : The company's board has cleared a proposal to start manufacturing light commercial vehicles. The company plans to double its domestic volumes to 2 mln units per year by 2016.

* NTPC: Has decided to merge affiliate NTPC Hydro Ltd with itself as part of a restructuring exercise.

* OIL AND NATURAL GAS: ONGC Videsh has said it is open to investing in power, petrochemical and fertiliser plants in Bangladesh .

* ORIENTAL BANK OF COMMERCE: Has announced interest rate cuts on some term deposits below 10 mln rupees by 25-100 basis points with effect from today.

* PACHELI ENTERPRISES: To issue shares up to 72 mln rupees on preferential basis.

* POLARIS FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY: Will provide its Intellect Core Banking Solution to Bangladesh 's Sonali Bank. WIPRO, HCL TECHNOLOGIES and L&T Infotech have bid for the company's IT services unit FTSourcing, valued at $300 mln-$350 mln.

* RAJESH EXPORTS: Is set to expand its gold processing special export-processing zone in Kochi with an investment of 4 bln rupees.

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: The board members of the company and British Petroleum will visit Kakinada near the D6 oil and gas block this week to conduct final tests at a gas column recently discovered in the basin.

* SHOPPERS STOP: The company's board has approved the sale of its cosmetics operations to arm Gateway Multichannel Retail.

* STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA : The Cabinet may today take up a proposal to allow the company and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam to directly charter ships to import coal and other raw material.

* TANFAC INDUSTRIES:  Even as the Aditya Birla Group is looking to sell its stake in the fluorine chemicals maker, the company is mulling options including getting a foreign joint venture partner to revive operations.

* TATA COMMUNICATIONS: Plans to delist its American Depositary Receipts from the New York Stock Exchange due to lack of volumes.

* TATA TELESERVICES ( MAHARASHTRA ): Promoter Tata Sons plans to sell 51.62 mln shares of the company through an offer for sale on Friday.

* YES BANK: Moody's Investors Service has affirmed Baa3 rating on the bank's foreign and local currency bank deposit and Ba1 on baseline credit assessment of the bank.
