 ALOK INDUSTRIES: Three promoters bought shares of the company, equivalent to 1.11% stake, from the market on Jun 5.

* APOLLO TYRES: Its wholly-owned subsidiary will acquire New York Stock Exchange-listed Cooper Tire & Rubber Co in an all-cash deal valued around $2.5 bln.

* BHARTI AIRTEL: Promoter Bharti Telecom has increased its stake in the company to 45.81% from 45.77% by acquiring 1.82 mln shares for 509 mln rupees.

* DLF: Supreme Court has stayed the Punjab and Haryana High Court order that restrained it from selling any property in its 'The Crest' project in Gurgaon.

* DUNLOP INDIA: The Supreme Court today stayed the Calcutta High Court's order to wind up Dunlop India due to non-repayment of debt.

* EDUCOMP SOLUTIONS: Promoter Shantanu Prakash has got back 9.1 mln shares, or 7.5% stake in the company, that were forfeited by lenders by invoking a pledge.

* HANUNG TOYS & TEXTILES: Board has approved 2-for-1 stock split.

* HINDUSTAN UNILEVER: Will enter the hair colour segment in India through its new brand Toni & Guy, whose other hair products are available to consumers through top salons.

* INDRAPRASTHA GAS: Will acquire 50% stake in Central UP Gas for 690 mln rupees.

* INFOSYS: Is seriously considering a non-Indian for the post of a new chief executive officer and is in preliminary talks with leading global recruitment agencies like Heidrick & Struggles, Egon Zehnder and Russell Reynolds to identify possible candidates.

* MAHINDRA HOLIDAYS & RESORTS INDIA: To add around 1,000 rooms in the next two years by developing its large land bank spread over 10 destinations in India .

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA : Has announced a month-long scheme to boost volumes through an exchange offer from its second-hand car sales chain, True Value.

* MMTC: Government will divest 9.33% stake in the company through offer-for-sale route and has set 60 rupees per share as the floor price.

* OIL INDIA: Is set to acquire 49% equity in Assam Petrochemicals Ltd which is credited to be the first company in India to manufacture petrochemicals using natural gas as feedstock. Will set up an overseas subsidiary by December to take over all of company's foreign businesses.

* RICOH INDIA: Has launched six new laser printers under 'Kanjoos' brand priced between 8,250 rupees and 18,000 rupees.

* RPG LIFE SCIENCES: May have to delay its plans to foray into the US market after the US Food and Drugs Administration's warning letter to the company about its manufacturing facilities in India.

* SUN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES: Has, along with Teva Pharmaceutical, settled the patent suit over generic of Protonix with Pfizer Inc and Takeda Pharmaceutical for $2.15 bln, of which the Indian company will have to pay $550 mln. Company's arm has sued Novartis in a US court seeking permission to market a generic of its cancer drug Glivec in the US before the patent expires there.

* TEXMACO RAIL & ENGINEERING: Is looking for partners for its planned electric multiple unit and metro rail coaches manufacturing facility.

* UNITED SPIRITS: Has planned capital expenditure of 30 bln rupees for the next three years and will also move to consolidate its recent acquisition of three distilleries.
