taxation issues.

* JAY SHREE TEA & INDUSTRIES: The Company is planning to enter real estate development in Kolkata.

* JET AIRWAYS: Foreign Investment Promotion Board gave conditional approval to the proposed preferential allotment of 24% stake in the company to Etihad Airways. An Indian government panel has approved a proposal by the company to sell a 24% stake to Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways.

* JINDAL STEEL AND POWER: The Company has emerged as the frontrunner to acquire Indian assets of steel trader Stemcor Holdings.

The company said it is waiting for Mumbai High Court's order on an appeal filed against the approval that the same court had earlier given to the proposed merger of Sterlite Industries ( India ) with itself.

* SUBEX: In partnership with Mauritius ' Softpro International, has received licence contract from Ethio Telecom for its revenue assurance solution.

* ULTRATECH CEMENT: Reported 14% decline on year in its Apr-Jun net profit at 6.73 bln rupees on account of increase in other income. The company plans to ramp up its capacity by 10.55 mln tn to 64.55 mln tn over the next 20 months at a capital expenditure of around 137 bln rupees.

* YES BANK: Madhu Kapoor who has been fighting co-promoter Rana Kapoor for a right to have a seat on YES Bank's board, has challenged nomination rights of Rana Kapoor, saying he holds less than 10% in the bank.
