* ADANI PORTS: Is close to acquiring Dhamra port, an equal joint venture between the Tatas and LARSEN & TOUBRO, in a deal believed to be worth 50 bln rupees. 

* APOLLO HOSPITAL Enterprise : Has posted net profit of 789.4 mln rupees in Apr-Jun, up 13.2% on year, and net sales of 8.95 bln rupees, up 15.1%.

* BAJAJ AUTO: Workers have decided to move to Pune industrial court after a judge holding additional charge at the Pune labour court ignored a union application questioning his jurisdiction. 

* BIRLA CORP: Has been allowed to commence limestone mining operations at its working area near the Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan as per an interim order of the Supreme Court passed on Jul 29. 

* COAL INDIA: Six states have asked state-run COAL INDIA to restrain coal supplies on the back of a drop in demand. 

* CADILA HEALTHCARE: Has posted consolidated net profit of 1.96 bln rupees in Apr-Jun, up 0.4% on year and net sales of 16.07 bln rupees, up 6.0%. 

* DLF: Has put on the block the second phase of its under-construction IT special economic zone project in Pune's Hinjewadi for an anticipated 2.50 bln rupees. 

* EICHER MOTORS: Has posted net profit of 923.2 mln rupees in Apr-Jun, up 21.54% on year and net sales of 16.46 bln rupees, up 4.65% on year. 

* EMAMI: Is planning to invest 10 bln rupees to foray into cement business and to expand its healthcare operations. 

* GODREJ PROPERTIES: To raise up to 7 bln rupees by issuing 21.5 mln shares to existing shareholders through rights issue at 325 rupees per share, a discount of about 30%. 

* GLAXOSMITHKLINE PHARMACEUTICALS: Has said the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Policy 2012 is likely to impact the company's annual revenue by 5%. Has posted net profit of 1.15 bln rupees in Apr-Jun, down 29.6% on year and net sales of 6.37 bln rupees, down 2.3%. 

* GUJARAT PIPAVAV: Plans to double the container capacity and setup tank farms at an investment of 11 bln rupees in the next two years. 

* IDFC: Looks for an exit from Gurgaon highway deal on losing interest in owning the expressway. IDFC was to buy out a 74% stake in the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway from Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity on NHAI's approval six months ago. 

* HERO MOTOCORP: Is slated to introduce a slew of indigenously-developed new products to regain its 50% pie in the Indian bike and scooter market, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Munjal said. Is set to open factories in North and Latin America , the first instance of the Indian two-wheeler major looking at starting full-fledged manufacturing abroad. 

* ITC: The Karnataka State Board of Wakf has asked ITC Windsor Hotel in Bangalore , to vacate the property by the end of this month, after mediation talks between the board, which owns the land, and the company fell through. 

* JET AIRWAYS INDIA : Etihad Airways said that it is awaiting a final approval from the Indian authorities for the JET-Etihad deal. Etihad Airways is coordinating fleet strategy with partners including Air Berlin, and company amid the final stages of talks with Boeing Co and Airbus SAS on potential orders in coming decades. 

* JUBILANT LIFE SCIENCES: US Food and Drug Administration has accepted arm Jubilant Biosys' investigational new drug filing for a drug, which is used in the treatment of prostrate cancer.

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA : The Reserve Bank of India has lifted the ban on purchase of more shares of the company by foreign institutional investors under the portfolio investment scheme with immediate effect. 

* MOIL: Has posted net profit of 1.12 bln rupees in Apr-Jun, up 12.7% on year, and net sales of 2.39 bln rupees, down 1.53%. 

* NCC: Has posted consolidated net profit of 58.06 mln rupees in Apr-Jun, down 71.4% on year, and net sales of 16.17 bln rupees, down 9.77%. 

* OMAXE: Has posted consolidated net profit of 190.34 mln rupees in Apr-Jun, up 4.47% on year, and net sales of 3.97 bln rupees, up 9.25%. 

* PVR: Has not hiked ticket prices for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Chennai Express, which will be released on Friday. 

* RANBAXY LABORATORIES: Has posted consolidated net loss of 5.24 bln rupees in Apr-Jun, as compared to loss of 5.86 bln rupees a year ago. Net sales were at 26.33 bln rupees, down 17.83% on year. 

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: The Directorate General of Hydrocarbons has recommended that company cough up an additional penalty of $792 mln for not
fulfilling natural gas production targets from its eastern offshore KG-D6 fields. 

* SHIV-VANI OIL & GAS EXPLORATION SERVICES: Has denied reports of a winding up petition being filed against the company before any court. 

* SUN PHARMA: Arm Taro's Apr-Jun net profit $58.8 mln vs $62.9 mln YoY. Net sales $153.2 mln vs $159.1 mln.

* TILAKNAGAR INDUSTRIES: Has posted a consolidated net profit of 172.74 mln rupees in Apr-Jun, up 58.03% on year, and net sales of 1.67 bln rupees, up 18.15%. Is in talks with Suntory Holdings and Pernod Ricard to sell a 15-20% stake in the company. 

* UNITY INFRAPROJECTS: Has secured orders worth 4.93 bln rupees.
