* ING VYSYA: Has raised interest rates on deposits maturing across different tenures by 25-50 basis points with effect from Aug 28.

* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: The Competition Commission of India has given its approval to the M&M group's proposed multi-structured deal with Spain 's auto component maker CIE Group. 

* MPHASIS: Consolidated net profit of the company was 1.93 bln rupees May-Jul, up 9.1% quarter-on-quarter, and net sales were at 15.40 bln rupees, up 9.6% on quarter.

* SPICEJET: The company is in talks with Airbus to acquire A320neo narrow body aircraft. 

* STATE BANK OF INDIA : Life Insurance Corp of India had raised its shareholding in the bank by acquiring 2.86% stake, through various open market transactions between Jan 21, 2010 and Aug 27, 2013. The bank will hike interest rates on bulk deposits with a maturity of between 7 days and 60 days to 9% effective Saturday. The bank will also raise interest rates on bulk deposits with maturity of between 61 days and one year to 8.25%.
