* ACC: Plans 30-bln-rupee capacity expansion in eastern region to expand capacity by nearly 4 mln tn in the next three years.

* BIRLA PRECISION TECHNOLOGIES: Board has approved proposal of preferential issue of warrants to promoters and promoter group.

* COAL INDIA: Two blocks from the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute, a company subsidiary, are headed for underground coal gasification.

* COROMANDEL ENGINEERING: Will mull issue of shares on rights basis on Sep 5.

* DPSC: Company hopes to commission its 450 MW thermal power plant at Haldia in West Bengal by early 2015.

* GODAWARI POWER & ISPAT: Company's 1.2 mtpa iron ore pelletisation plant has been commissioned at Siltara industrial complex, Raipur , and started
commercial production from Sep 1.

* GUJARAT ALKALIES: Promoter raised stake in company to 20.87% on Aug 30 from 17.67% earlier.

* HERO MOTOCORP: Plans to set up its first manufacturing unit outside India , in Colombia , by mid-2014.

* HEXAWARE TECHNOLOGIES: The open offer by Baring Private Equity Asia and its associates to acquire 78.3 mln shares of the company will commence on Oct 18 and end Oct 31.

* ITC: Company has raised prices of Gold Flake Kings and the entire Classic range of cigarettes by 14 rupees for a pack of 20 sticks. A pack of 20 Gold
Flake Kings cigarettes and Classic range cigarettes, which includes brands like Classic, Classic Milds and Classic Citric Twist, will now cost 150 rupees.

* KINGFISHER AIRLINES: Key shareholder United Breweries (Holdings) is seeking $236 mln in damages from US-based aircraft engine maker International Aero Engines (IAE) AG, alleging the company supplied defective machines to the carrier.

* KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK: Foreign institutional investors' share purchase limit in Kotak Mahindra Bank has been raised to 37% from 35% earlier.

* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: South Korean arm Ssangyong Motor Co sold total of 11,610 units in August, up 27.1% on year. Sold 17,719 two wheelers in August, up 66% year on year, aided by a sharp rise in domestic sales.

* RADICO KHAITAN: Has begun preliminary talks to sell a minority stake to Japan 's oldest liquor company Suntory Holdings, underscoring the growing
attraction of the local liquor market to foreign firms.

* READYMADE STEEL INDIA : Singapore arm has inked a pact with PSL Holdings Ltd to acquire two of the latter's subsidiaries for 800 mln-1 bln rupees.

* RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE: Company's special purpose vehicle, SU Toll Road Pvt, has completed widening of the 136-km Salem-Ulundurpet road in Tamil Nadu.

* RELIGARE ENTERPRISES: Will acquire Macquarie 's stake in equal joint venture company, Religare Macquarie Wealth Management Ltd.

* SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS: Closed two franchise restaurants 'Mainland China ' and 'Flame and Grill' in Ludhiana on Sep 1.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA : Has acquired 23% stake in Bank State Bank of India , Indonesia and now holds 99% stake in the Indonesian Bank. Has moved the Supreme Court seeking recovery of 2.30-bln-rupee dues from four mining companies falling under the Category C mines, whose licences stand cancelled after the April 18 order.

* STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA : Registered 16% year-on-year rise in total sales volume in August. Sales of flat products increased 26%, and long products by 3% on year.

* SUPERTEX INDUSTRIES: Board has approved raising funds through preferential issue of shares for expansion or acquisition.

* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: Income Tax department has selected company to implement information technology upgrade projects worth 2 bln rupees.

* TECH MAHINDRA: Has increased the limit for foreign institutional investors to buy shares and convertible debentures under the portfolio investment
scheme to up to 35% of paid-up capital.

* TRILOGIC DIGITAL MEDIA: Has revised share swap ratio for the merger of two private companies, Snip Entertainment and Sphere Entertainment, with itself.

* WIPRO: Expects telecom companies to raise their technology spending as older outsourcing contracts come up for renewal and they invest in newer
technologies such as cloud and analytics to improve efficiency and earn more revenue from subscribers.

* WOCKHARDT: The office of the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has asked drugmaker Wockhardt to explain within a month deficiencies found at its Aurangabad facility.
