* ALSTOM T&D INDIA : Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 208.09 mln rupees against a loss of 18.09 mln rupees on year, and net sales of 8.0 rupees, up 18.3% on
year.

* ANDHRA PRADESH PAPER MILLS: Has decided to change its name to International Paper APPM, subject to shareholders' and the Centre's approval. 

* APTECH: Posted Jul-Sep net profit at 76.2 mln rupees, up from 47.6 ml rupees a year ago. Income from operations rose 3.9% on year to 275.7 mln rupees.

* BANK OF INDIA : Will issue shares worth 10 bln rupees to the government.

* BHARTI AIRTEL: Will offer the iPhone 5S and 5C to Indian customers with monthly rental plans that will effectively reduce its cost to consumers.

* BIRLA CORP: Will invest around 9.5 bln rupees to set up new units in four states having a combined capacity of 4.5 mln tn.

* COAL INDIA: Ahead of a proposed strike by the company's workers against stake sale by government, one of the five trade unions said it has written to

Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing is looking to attach the demat accounts of Jignesh Shah in the National Spot Exchange case. Enforcement Directorate Thursday raided the premises of Mohan India , which is at the centre of the raging National Spot Exchange scam.

rupees.

* GILLETTE INDIA: Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 151 mln rupees, down 39% on year, and net sales of 3.87 bln rupees, up 15.6% on year.

* GLENMARK PHARMACEUTICALS: Posted Jul-Sep consolidated net profit declined 1.6% on year to 1.54 bln rupees, net sales of 14.63 bln rupees up 16.6% on year.

* GTL INFRASTRUCTURE: Posted Jul-Sep net loss of 916.4 mln rupees against a loss of 781.6 mln rupees a year ago.

* GULF OIL CORP: Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 123.88 mln rupees, up 16.97% on year, and net sales of 2.22 bln rupees, down 0.6% on year.

* HCL TECHNOLOGIES: The Reserve Bank of India has allowed foreign institutional investors to hold up to 49% of equity share capital and convertible debentures of the company.

* HINDUSTAN ZINC: Finance ministry has created a draft Cabinet note saying that the company cannot be classified as a public sector undertaking and
hence no parliamentary panel is required to offload the government's stake in it.

* HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FINANCE CORP: Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Keki Mistry sold 24,000 shares the company for 19.7 mln rupees on Tuesday.

* IDEA CELLULAR: Has allotted 10,000 shares to Managing Director Himanshu Kapania at a discount of 77% to Thursday's closing price.

* IDFC: Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 4.98 bln rupees, up 8% on year, and revenues of 20.62 bln rupees up 5.3% on year.

* INDIAN OIL CORP: Has cut petrol price by 1.15 rupees per ltr and raised diesel price by 50 paise per ltr effective today. The company said revenue loss for public sector utility companies' subsidised fuel is seen at 1.36 trln rupees in 2013-14 (Apr-Jun).

* INFOSYS: US ' Department of Justice has stated on its website that more than 80% of the company's I-9 forms for 2010, 2011 contained substantive violations. The company's former American employee Jack Palmer, who had brought a whistleblower lawsuit against the IT giant, may get $5 mln-$8 mln of the
total $34 mln to be paid by the company to settle visa fraud allegations.

* ITC: Is close to acquiring Balan Natural Food's B Natural brand to roll out packaged fruit juices under its foods category.

* JET AIRWAYS INDIA, SPICEJET: Are candidates for buying the 737 MAX aircraft.

* KALPATARU POWER TRANSMISSION: Posted Jul-Sep net profit at 309.9 mln rupees, up 16.7% on year. Net sales rose 33.9% on year to 9.4 bln rupees.

* LARSEN & TOUBRO: Will sell up to 17.17 mln shares, or about 1%, of subsidiary L&T Finance Holdings within 90 days, to meet India 's minimum
public shareholding norm. LINDE INDIA : Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 99.9 mln rupees, up 68.49% on year, and revenues of 3.2 bln rupees, down 6.8% on year.

* MAGMA FINCORP: Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 306.04 mln rupees, up 45.53% on year, and revenues of 4.35 bln rupees, up 20.4% on year.

* MULTI COMMODITY EXCHANGE OF INDIA : Promoter and Non-Executive Vice Chairman Jignesh Shah has announced his resignation from the board of the exchange with immediate effect.

* MUTHOOT FINANCE: Will next week tap the market with a 3-bln-rupee non-convertible debenture issue.

* SESA STERLITE: Posted Jul-Sep consolidated net profit of 23.94 bln rupees, above analysts' estimates of 17.95 bln rupees.

* SUZLON ENERGY: Plans to sell non-core, non-critical assets worth $400 mln over the next 18-20 months to reduce debt.

* TATA MOTORS: The foreign institutional investors' investment limit in the company's differential voting rights has been hiked to 75%. The Singapore arm of the company is negotiating with banks to raise $500 mln of debt, which will enable the subsidiary, TML Holdings, to buy the company's stake in several key overseas units.

* TUBE INVESTMENTS: Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 848.3 rupees, up 12.12% on year, and net sales of 21.05 bln rupees, up 15.37% on year.

* TULIP TELECOM: The company's clients are exiting its data centres due to increasing services disruptions or fear of it. Two of its largest clients, HP and NTT, have moved to rivals RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS and Netmagic respectively.

* VOLTAMP TRANSFORMERS: Posted Jul-Sep net profit at 39.68 mln rupees against 48.44 mln rupees a year ago.
