* ALSTOM T&D INDIA : Tata Housing has signed an agreement to buy the company's 20-acre land in Bengaluru for 1.20 bln rupees. 

* BHARAT PETROLEUM CORP: P. Balasubramanian has been recommended as director (Finance) of the company by the Public Enterprises Selection Board. 

* CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA : Chairman and Managing Director Rajeev Rishi said the bank's gross non-performing assets should fall below 6% by March.

* CESC: Plans to invest 700 mln rupees to expand its urban lifestyle cafe chain Au Bon Pain Cafe India in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi over the next 12 months. 

* CHENNAI PETROLEUM CORP: Plans to issue domestic bonds maturing in three and five years. 

* FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES ( INDIA ): Has received show-cause notice from SEBI questioning the company's shareholding in MCX-Stock Exchange. Some directors of National Spot Exchange have told investigative agencies that board meeting records such as notices, agenda and minutes used by regulators to decide on the board's involvement in the payment crisis aren't reliable. 

- Central Electricity Regulatory Commission Chairman Girish Pradhan said the regulator will examine Jignesh Shah's credentials to remain on the board of the Indian Electricity Exchange. 

* GMR INFRASTRUCTURE: Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad is set to buy the company's entire 40% stake in Istanbul 's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport for 225 mln euros. 

* GLAXOSMITHKLINE PHARMACEUTICALS: GlaxoSmithKline Pte's voluntary open offer to acquire 24.33% more shareholding in the Indian arm will begin Feb 7 and close on Feb 21. 

* HATHWAY CABLE & DATACOM: Will procure a suite of offerings from Oracle Communications Consulting to transform its back-office infrastructure and enhance customer interactions. 

* HDFC: Mutual fund arm will buy all eight schemes of Morgan Stanley Mutual Fund in India . 

* HINDUSTAN PETROLUEM CORP: Will lay a pipeline to transport LPG between Mangalore and Bengaluru, said Oil Minister Veerappa Moily. 

* HINDUSTAN ZINC: CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry against Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal in connection with alleged irregularities in divestment of government stake in the company. 

* INDIAN OIL CORP: A committee under the ministry of environment and forests has given Coastal Regulation Zone clearance to Indian Oil Corp for setting up of a LNG terminal at Ennore in Tamil Nadu. 

* IRB INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPERS: Government will soon award the first public- private partnership project of the current fiscal year to the company for widening a 98.72 km stretch between Solapur and Yedeshi in Maharashtra. 

* JAIPRAKASH POWER VENTURES: Jaypee Group is close to selling two of its three operating hydroelectric projects to a consortium led by Abu Dhabi National Energy Co PJSC and including a Canadian pension fund for at least $1.5 bln. 

* JET AIRWAYS INDIA : Has entered into a fresh aircraft leasing agreement with Turkish Airlines for its Airbus 330-200 wide bodied jets. 

* KARNATAKA BANK: Has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyderabad-based BASIX Sub-K iTransactions for providing business correspondent services in Karnataka and Chhattisgarh. 

* KINGFISHER AIRLINES: Prospects of Indian lenders recovering a big chunk of the 70-bln-rupee loan default by Kingfisher Airlines have brightened after the Karnataka High Court declared guarantor UNITED BREWERIES HOLDINGS share sale to Diageo Plc void. 

* LANCO INFRATECH: Has received approval to restructure debt. Is expected to sign up a Master Corporate Debt Restructuring Agreement before month-end by infusing promoter's equity of 1.52 bln rupees. 

* MULTICOMMODITY EXCHANGE OF INDIA : Top officials of institutions like IFCI, Central Depository Services, NSDL Database Management and Reliance Commodities have been identified by the Multi Commodity Exchange board to fill the post of managing director and chief executive officer. 

* NHPC: Has signed an agreement with Odisha Hydro Power Corp to form a joint venture company to set up six hydroelectric projects with total 1,020 MW capacity. 

* OIL & NATURAL GAS CORP: Will begin work to set up a 50-bln-rupee urea plant next year in Unakoti district in Tripura. Arm ONGC Videsh staff has been evacuated from South Sudan oilfields amid escalating violence in the country. 

* POWER FINANCE CORP: Arm PFC Consulting has said all technical bids to set up 4,000 MW ultra mega power plants in Odisha and Cheyyur are valid. 

* POWER GRID CORP OF INDIA : EuroPacific Growth Fund has hiked its stake in the company to 5.4% after acquiring additional shares through open market. 

* PRIME FOCUS: Promoter got pledge on 3,000 shares of the company released between Dec 13 and Dec 18. 

* RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS: A law ministry's arbitral tribunal has allowed Reliance Communications and its wholly-owned unit Reliance Telecom to exit from a Universal Services Obligation Fund project. 

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: The Securities Appellate Tribunal has disposed off an appeal filed by Reliance Industries against SEBI after the market regulator agreed to provide certain documents to the corporate house for inspection in connection with the insider trading probe. 

* SHOPPERS STOP: Has opened one Clinique store and one M.A.C store at Quest mall in Kolkata. 

* SPICEJET: Launched 30-day advance purchase offer, giving up to 65% discount on tickets. 

* STATE BANK OF INDIA : Has appointed five foreign banks-- Bank of America- Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Citi, JPMorgan and UBS--to manage its qualified institutional placement. 

* TATA COMMUNICATIONS: Promoter has got pledge on 10 mln shares of the company released on Dec 20. 

* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: Promoter got pledge on 8.7 mln shares of the company released Dec 20. 

* TATA MOTORS: Promoter has got pledge on 15 mln shares of the company released on Dec 20. 

* TATA POWER: Promoter has got pledge on 21.35 mln shares of the company released on Dec 20. Has won approval of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission to postpone fulfillment of annual solar-power procurement targets by as many as five years to 2016. 

* TECH MAHINDRA: LIC has sold 2.06% stake or 4.77 mln shares in the company in the open market for 7.57 bln rupees. 

* TORRENT PHARMACEUTICALS: Is seeking shareholders' approval to increase its borrowing limits to 50 bln rupees from the current 30 bln rupees. The company will acquire the branded formulation business of ELDER PHARMACEUTICALS for 20 bln rupees. 

* ULTRATECH CEMENT: Competition Commission of India has approved the proposed acquisition of Jaypee Cement Corp's Gujarat units by the company. 

* UNITED SPIRITS: Japanese whisky maker Suntory has joined UK-based private equity fund Vasari Global as a possible bidder for Whyte & Mackay, owned by Diageo-controlled United Spirits. 

* VIDEOCON INDUSTRIES: Nippon Investment has pledged 400,000 shares of the company on Dec 18.
