Indian Market Outlook For The Week – 26 To 29.12.2017
Benchmark indices are seen extending gains next week but volatility is seen high as traders will roll over positions to the January derivatives series. The stock market will be shut on Monday on account of Christmas. Volumes are expected to be low as foreign institutional investors typically avoid taking aggressive positions ahead of year-end holidays. Trends in global markets will lend cues to domestic shares next week. After the Nifty 50 crossed the 10500-mark for the first time yesterday, we expect
small consolidation in the market, but see the index ending the December series near new lifetime high levels, given sustained flows from local fund Houses. Yesterday, it ended at a lifetime closing high of 10493.00, up 52.70 points or 0.5% from the previous close. The Sensex gained 184.02 points or 0.5% at 33940.30, its highest closing level ever.
