* AUTOMOBILES: Toyota Motor Corp is considering offering the hybrid option on the Etios model in India .

* ENERGY: A Group of Ministers, headed by Finance Minister Chidambaram, has given a go-ahead to a bill that proposes setting up of a coal regulator.

* EXCHANGES: United Stock Exchange has cancelled the preferential rights enjoyed by some of its key shareholders, including the Bombay Stock Exchange, which has a 15% stake in the currency bourse. BSE to launch new technology that will allow execution of as many as 100,000 orders per second.
