* APTECH: Has posted Apr-Jun net profit of 47.2 mln rupees, up 25.2% on year, and net sales of 424.8 mln rupees, up 9.9% on year. 

* COAL INDIA: Four out of the five registered trade unions representing over 360,000 workers of the company are in favour of a strike to oppose the government's plan to divest equity in the company. 

* COROMANDEL INTERNATIONAL: Will receive supplies of phosphoric acid from Tifert at Kakinada . 

* DENA BANK: Reserve Bank of India today withdrew, with immediate effect, the restriction on the purchase of shares of the bank by foreign institutional investors under the portfolio investment scheme. 

* DALMIA BHARAT: Cement despatches increased 6% on year in July to 847,000 tn, but production rose only 1% on year to 822,000 tn.

* EDUCOMP SOLUTIONS: Has reportedly not paid salaries to over 6,000 employees for a number of months. 

* ENGINEERS INDIA : Apr-Jun net profit declined 16% on year to 1.3 bln rupees; net sales declined 38.5% to 4.4 bln rupees. 

* FIRSTSOURCE SOLUTIONS: Has posted Apr-Jun net profit of 410.47 mln rupees, up 41.64% on year, and net sales of 7.23 bln rupees, up 5.57% on year. 

* GODREJ PROPERTIES: Will expand its existing township project in Panvel by 37 acres. 

* INFOSYS: Has no immediate plans of letting go of its 50-acre land in West Bengal that it had bought for setting up a campus. 

* JET AIRWAYS: Has become first Indian airline to order Boeing 737 Max planes. To take delivery of 50 from 2017. 

* JINDAL STEEL AND POWER: Has forayed into the retail market segment with the launch of TMT rebars under its new brand, Jindal Panther. May bid jointly with JSW STEEL for UK-based Stemcor's India assets, mainly for the iron and steel traders' ore-processing facilities in eastern-India. 

* KARNATAKA BANK: Eyeing a total business turnover of 780 bln rupees during 2013-14 (Apr-Jun) and looking to expand its service footprint to 1,200 outlets across India . 

* KEC INTERNATIONAL: Is planning to execute low-margin orders worth 3.5-4.0 bln rupees over the next two-three months. 

* MULTI COMMODITY EXCHANGE OF INDIA : Forward Markets Commission has barred MCX from any financial dealing without prior permission from the regulator. 

* MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA : In 2014, Maruti's new global small car 'YL7' will be the first model to be powered by parent Sukuzi's self-developed 2-cyclinder
800-cc diesel powerplant, according to sources. 

* MUTHOOT FINANCE: Is planning to raise up to 3 bln rupee through NCDs public issue. 

* NTPC: Sri Lanka Attorney General office has approved company's 500 MW thermal power plant to be built in association with Ceylon Electricity Board. 

* POWER GRID CORP OF INDIA : Will boost a $16.5-bln investment plan by 10% in order to prevent a network collapse. 

* PRIME FOCUS: Board has approved the sale of its visual effects business and media conversion operations to indirect subsidiary Prime Focus World Creative Services Pvt Ltd, for up to $38 mln. 

* RADICO KHAITAN: Apr-Jun net profit increased 6.6% YoY to 225 mln rupees, net sales increased 19.8% to 3.5 bln rupees. 

* RELIANCE POWER: The company is learnt to have approached the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission to revise the tariff of Tilayia UMPP to 2.25 rupees per unit from its original bid price of 1.77 rupees per unit. 

* STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA : Supreme Court refused to interfere with the foreign arbitration award that asked two Australian coal firms to pay damages of $159 mln to the company. 

* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: Has hired 174 US college graduates this year as part of its plan of adding science, technology, engineering and mathematics jobs in the US . 

* TATA MOTORS: Has signed a memorandum of understanding with UCO BANK for financing of its range of commercial vehicles. 

* TECH MAHINDRA: Has entered into an agreement with Belgium-based BASE Co for providing managed services for long-term evolution technology-based services in the European country. 

* UNITED BREWERIES HOLDINGS: Has deposited 2.5 bln rupees in the Karnataka High Court out of the proceeds for its sale of shares to British liquor firm Diageo, in compliance with an order of the court.
