* ADANI POWER: The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission has sought a reply from company on a plea filed by an individual, seeking to be heard as an electricity consumer. 

* BAJAJ HINDUSTHAN: India Infrastructure Finance Co ( UK ) has approved a $150-mln loan for importing capital equipment for the company's 1,980 MW mega thermal project at Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh. 

* BIRLA CORP: Operations at the company's Durgapur cement unit has been affected on account of the severe 'tornado' on Sunday. 

* BLUE DART EXPRESS: Jul-Sep net profit down 6.6% year-on-year at 300.6 mln rupees. Net sales up 12.9% on year at 4.71 bln rupees. Will reward its shareholders with bonus debentures aggregating to 3.32 bln rupees, to be issued in three tranches.

* COAL INDIA: Foreign institutional investors held 5.51% stake in the company as on Sep 30, compared with 5.35% end-June. Oil minister Veerappa Moily has rejected a draft note for the Cabinet proposing exploration of coal-bed methane rights to the company without auction. 

* FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES: The Enforcement Directorate has sought from Forward Markets Commission copies of Grant Thornton LLP's audit report on arm National Spot Exchange and also Switzerland-based SGS SA's report. The Economic Offences Wing interrogated Shankarlal Guru, former chairman of arm National Spot Exchange. 

* GAIL INDIA : The planned 310-km natural gas pipeline project of the company in Tamil Nadu will be brought under the purview of the new land acquisition act from Jan 1. 

* HERO MOTOCORP: Is set to post its highest ever sales of 5.8 lakh (580,000) units in October. 

* HEXAWARE TECHNOLOGIES: Elder Infosystems Pvt Ltd sold its entire 17.41% stake, or 52 mln shares, in the company for 7 bln rupees in an off-market transaction. 

* HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: Has said it followed all stipulated government processes for allocation of coal blocks. 

- Will have to buy coal from other sources at a very high cost for its Odisha aluminium project, as its Talabira mine, currently being investigated in relation to coal block allocation, is yet to receive stage-II clearance from environment ministry. 

- CBI said it recovered 250 mln rupees worth of unaccounted money from Hindalco's Delhi office during the raids conducted on Tuesday. 

* HINDUSTAN ZINC: Vedanta Resources Plc has sought a fresh mandate from its shareholders for buying the government's 29.5% stake in the company at 149.12 rupees per share. 

* JET AIRWAYS: At least four executives from Etihad Airways are likely to assume key positions in the company by the end of year. 

* LARSEN & TOUBRO: Wholly-owned subsidiary L&T Infotech plans to double its revenue to $2 bln in the next three years by enhancing intellectual property offerings across emerging verticals, tapping new geographies, and through acquisitions. 

* MINDTREE: Beats analyst expectations on sales and profit in the second quarter, with revenues growing 5.4% sequentially in dollar terms, aided by demand revival in the US . 

* MOTHERSON SUMI SYSTEMS: Foreign institutional investors increased their stake in the company to 16.13% as of September from 15.18% held in June.

* MULTI COMMODITY EXCHANGE: Forward Markets Commission will complete reconstitution of the exchange's board before Oct 22. 

* OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORP: Has found oil reserves four times the previous estimate of 100 mln tn at its blocks in the Krishna-Godavari basin off Andhra Pradesh coast. 

* PHOENIX MILLS: Has bought additional 29.29% stake in Offbeat Developers from IL&FS Financial. Its stake has now increased to 53.23%. 

* PERSISTENT SYSTEMS: Has unveiled rCloud4 Universal Architecture, its cloud computing platform which it claims has instant restore capability. 

* PVR: Plans to complete the merger process with Cinemax by February.

* RANBAXY LABORATORIES: Mutual funds cut their stake in the company to 0.88% as on Sep 30, from 2.27% held end-June. 

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: The company's new discoveries in the KG-D6 block could see its gas output rise by almost 35% in the next financial year, but RIL is not keen on developing the discoveries until there is clarity on price. 

* RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE: Plans to sell either all or most of its 11 road projects to pare debt. 

* TATA CONSULTACY SERVICES: On the back of another robust volume growth of 7.3% and favourable currency movement, the company posted a 23.9% sequential rise in consolidated net profit for Jul-Sep. The company has raised its 2013-14 (Apr-Mar) hiring target by 5,000 to 50,000 employees. 

* TEXMACO RAIL & ENGINEERING: Has said its committee of directors has approved raising the offer price to 71 rupees from 68 rupees set earlier for
30% stake in KALINDEE RAIL NIRMAN (ENGINEERS). 

* USHA MARTIN: Institutional holding in the company fell 506 basis points to 22.49% during Jul-Sep.

* WELSPUN CORP: Institutional holding in the company fell 143 basis points to 14.79% in Jul-Sep.
