* MULTI COMMODITY EXCHANGE: The Forward Markets Commission has appointed Grant Thorton to conduct a forensic audit of the exchange.

* PI INDUSTRIES: Jul-Sep net profit at 552.9 mln rupees was up 114% on year. Net sales were up 54.7% at 4.6 bln rupees.

* PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES: Posted a consolidated net loss of 322.6 mln rupees in Jul-Sep as the company's finance costs rose sharply.

* POWER GRID CORP OF INDIA : Jul-Sep net profit rose 10.1% on year to 12.39 bln rupees. Net sales were up 28.2% to 39.99 bln rupees.

* PUDUMJEE INDUSTRIES: Jul-Sep net profit rose 38.9% to 2.5 mln rupees, from 1.8 mln rupees.

* PUNJ LLOYD: Has sold the entire stake its Singapore arm owned in Olive Group Capital for a total amount of $20 mln. Chairman Atul Punj has said company aims to mobilise around 25 bln rupees through asset sale in the current financial year.

* MAHINDRA AND MAHINDRA: Launched a 9-seater variant of the Xylo, the Xylo D2 MAXX, at 712,000 rupees ex-showroom Mumbai.

* RAYMOND: Posted Jul-Sep net profit of 922.8 mln rupees, up 83.61 on year and net sales of 12.23 bln rupees, up 9.82% on year.

* SITI CABLE: Jul-Sep net loss widened to 264.6 mln rupees, from 121.6 mln rupees net loss it posted last year. 

* SKS MICROFINANCE: Jul-Sep net profit was at 163.4 mln rupees compared with a loss of 2.62 bln rupees a year ago due to decline in provisions.

* WELSPUN CORP: Has got approval from its shareholders and creditors to demerge steel, infrastructure, oil & gas exploration and energy businesses into Welspun Enterprises Ltd.

* ZENSAR TECHNOLOGIES: Board has approved closure of the company's operations in Japan .
