* BHARAT PETROLEUM CORP: India has agreed to consider the possibility of providing petroleum products from the company to Maldives . 

* ELDER PHARMACEUTICALS: SICOM has invoked a pledge on 500,000 shares of the company on Dec 13 pledged by promoter Indarts Exports. 

* EXCEL CROP CARE: Cancelled its plans to merge the chemical business of TML INDUSTRIES with itself. 

* GMR INFRASTRUCTURE: Maldives government is in talks with the company for an out of court settlement on the dispute over the Male International Airport contract. 

* HERO MOTOCORP: Despatched 524,990 vehicles in December, a contraction of 3.1% from the 541,615 units it sold in the same month last year. 

* HINDUSTAN MOTORS: Sold 358 vehicles in December, down from 490 units a year ago. 

* HINDUSTAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY: Got a 4.42-bln-rupees order from IRCON International for building of a tunnel and two bridges along the Jammu and Kashmir rail link. 

* IDFC: To raise at least 10 bln rupees by issuing 15-year bonds. 

* IPCA LABORATORIES: The Department of Pharmaceuticals has rejected the company's petition for review of ceiling price of its nausea drug Perinorm. 

* KARUR VYSYA BANK: RBI has approved hike in share purchase limit by foreign institutional investors in the bank to 40% of their paid-up capital from 35% earlier. 

* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: Plans to rollout 7-8 new variants this year as it expects a turnaround in the sector. 

* NAGARJUNA AGRICHEM: Operations at the company's Srikakulam (Technicals) plant are normal, after a minor incident on Wednesday. 

* NOVARTIS INDIA: Has bought 870,000 sq ft of office space in Hyderabad in a bid to consolidate its operations in the city. 

* OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORP: After a gap of eight years, the company has resumed drilling in West Bengal and the company would take up drilling of 11 exploratory wells. 

- Has found a large reserve of gas in the Krishna Godavari basin, and hopes to begin production by 2016-17 (Apr-Mar). Is hopeful of completing sale of minority stake in three of its coal-bed methane assets in Jharkhand and West Bengal to private players this financial year. 

* STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA : Sales in Oct-Dec grew 6% on year to 2.98 mln tn.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA : Plans to raise 20 bln rupees by issuing Tier II bonds. The bank received 20-bln-rupees capital infusion from the government on Wednesday following a preferential allotment of shares. 

* TATA MOTORS: December vehicle sales fell 42.3% on year to 37,852.

* TVS MOTORS: December two-wheeler sales rose 1% on year to 153,358. 

* UNION BANK OF INDIA : Has tied up with JAIN IRRIGATION SYSTEMS to finance farmers for purchase and adoption of drip irrigation system.
