Cement Stocks Outlook For The Week - 10 To 14.09.2018
Stocks of cement companies are seen taking cues from the broader market next week due to the
absence of any significant trigger from within the sector. The movement in prices of cement stocks
was in line with that of movement of broader market last week, and it is likely to be the same next week. Benchmark equity indices are seen rising next week, but gains will depend on whether the
Indian rupee manages to hold on to its recovery against the dollar. We remain positive on cement demand in the medium term on the back of higher infrastructure spending by the government in the run up to the general elections next year. Despite an expected rise in cement demand post monsoon, prices of the commodity are seen under pressure due to higher supply and intense competition.
