 * ABBOTT INDIA: Has appointed Bhaskar Iyer as the head of operations. Iyer will take charge as divisional vice-president India from Feb 18.

* ARVIND REMEDIES: Plans to demerge its Irungatukottal unit into a subsidiary.

* AUROBINDO PHARMA: Is focusing on ramping up its injectables portfolio.

* BANK OF INDIA : Aims to lower its non-performing assets by 26 bln rupees by March 2014.

* BHARAT FORGE: Its joint venture with Alstom has won a 22.51-bln-rupee order to supply three 660-MW supercritical turbine generators for a NTPC project.

* CHENNAI PETROLEUM CORP: Oct-Dec net loss widened to 4.65 bln rupees from 634 mln rupees a year ago. Net sales increased 4% to 115.93 bln rupees.

* CROMPTON GREAVES: Its joint venture with Saudi Transformer Co has opened a power transformer factory in Damman Industrial City in Saudi Arabia .

* DLF: Its stock has risen 32% over the past three months, as concerns over the company's massive debt have begun to recede. Its debt is expected to come down to 185 bln rupees by March, from 230 bln rupees last year.

* EICHER MOTORS: Oct-Dec consolidated net profit declined 15% on year to 727 mln rupees. Net sales increased 3% to 16.3 bln rupees.

* FORTIS HEALTHCARE: Posted a near 26-fold growth in consolidated net profit at 7.05 bln rupees for Oct-Dec, led by a one-time gain from listing Religare Business Trust.

* HERO MOTOCORP: Has decided to move out of all cricket sponsorships.

* HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: Arm Novelis Inc posted a net income of $3 mln for Oct-Dec and net sales of $2.3 bln.

* HINDUSTAN COPPER: Oct-Dec net profit declined 4% on year to 758.4 mln rupees. Net sales declined 10% to 3.11 bln rupees.

* HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORP: Oct-Dec net profit declined 95% on year to 1.47 bln rupees. Net sales increased 10% to 527.5 bln rupees.

* KINGFISHER AIRLINES: Banks may decide to recall within 7-10 days loans given to the company. The company meanwhile is hopeful of restarting operations in summer schedule.

* KRBL: Board has approved buyback of shares.

* LANCO INFRATECH: Has reported a consolidated net loss of 4.6 bln rupees in Oct-Dec, against a consolidated net profit of 609 mln rupees in the comparative year-ago period.

* MOTHERSON SUMI SYSTEMS: Board has approved qualified institutional placement of up to 44.1 mln shares and preferential issue of up to 14.7 mln shares.

* OBEROI REALTY: Talks between the company and Italian luxury hotel brand Bulgari to set up a hotel in Mumbai have failed.

* TATA MOTORS: UK-based subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover's retail sales in January rose 32% on year to 34,877 units.

* ZICOM ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYSTEMS: Board has approved sale of its arm Zicom Can Automation. The company has inked a pact with ASYAD Group to bid for and work on third-party projects jointly in  Saudi Arabia .
