* APOLLO TYRES: Funding for the company's $2.5 bln bid for Cooper Tire and Rubber Co is in jeopardy unless the deal price is cut to reflect the risk of higher costs stemming from labour issues.

* DENA BANK: Has cut interest rates on car loans by 100 basis points to 11%, and has decided to offer home loans up to 10 mln rupees at its Base Rate.

* FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs expands scope of arm National Spot Exchange probe. Ministry has decided to bring under scrutiny atleast 70 group and related companies and exchanges that have common directors.

* JM FINANCIAL: Anil Kampani and Harith Kampani will be excluded from the promoter group, following such a request by them.

* INDIAN OIL CORP: Executive Director (Retail Sales) B. Ashok has been recommended for the top job at the company by the Public Enterprises Selection Board.  West Bengal government is likely to decide today on the company's bid for the 31% stake of Haldia Petrochemicals.

* RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE: Board has approved raising up to 25 bln rupees for refinancing and extending maturities of existing higher-cost rupee debt among other uses.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA : The finance ministry is likely to allow bank to raise around 80 bln rupees of equity capital either through a qualified institutional placement or a follow-on issue.

* SWAN ENERGY: Shareholders have approved raising about 12 bln rupees by issuing equity shares.

* TATA CHEMICALS: Plans to restructure its European business by closing soda ash and calcium factory and making 220 redundancies in the UK because of rising energy costs.

* TATA STEEL: Is looking at an option to raise anpther $1.2 bln by selling stake in other Tata group companies.

* TIME TECHNOPLAST: Has started commercial sale of composite cylinders to a private sector company for distribution of liquefied petroleum gas.

* TRIDENT: Board has approved the merger of Trident Corp with the company.

* WESTLIFE DEVELOPMENT: Arm Hardcastle Restaurants will launch 'McCafe' brand of coffees at its McDonald's restaurant in Mumbai on Monday.
