Metal Stocks Outlook For The Week – 26 To 29.12.2017
Stocks of metal and mining companies are likely to continue their positive momentum next week, aided by the underlying positive sentiment for the broader market. The overall activity in equity markets will also be low, as several participants are on year-end holidays. Breaking a seven-week
underperformance trend, stocks of metal and mining companies rose more than benchmark indices this week, aided by a positive trend on technical charts. Stocks of steel companies will remain in focus as domestic prices, especially of long products, have been on the rise. Aluminium producers Hindalco Industries, Bharat Aluminium Co and National Aluminium Co will also be in focus, as aluminium prices on the London Metal Exchange have been firm in the last one-two weeks. Generally, these companies link the prices of their products to the three-month futures of aluminium.
