Telecom Stocks Outlook For The Week - 05 To 09.11.2018
Notwithstanding a minor rebound this week, shares of telecom companies are likely to be under pressure next week because the outlook on recovery of tariff remains uncertain. There is no demand for telecom stocks among investors due to the uncertainty over their financials. Shares of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are expected to be under pressure because their subscriber base as well as average revenue per user remains under pressure due to Reliance Jio Infocomm's low tariff and success of cheap smartphone JioPhone. On the other hand, shares of Reliance Industries are expected to rise as its subsidiary Reliance Jio is the only profitable telecom company despite leading the competition on lowering tariff. For Vodafone Idea, the company's earnings for the September quarter and the management's commentary on merger synergies would be a key trigger. India's largest telecom company Vodafone Idea is yet to announce the date for its earnings announcement.
